Annual Report 2022
Our first Annual Report as a charity
SambaYaBamba Youth Street Band was born in 2016, welcoming young people aged 11-25 from loads of different backgrounds, from all over Glasgow and beyond.
Now 40 members strong, this collective of percussion & brass has gone from strength to strength, with members not only rehearsing and performing, but also directing several of the tunes. In less than three years, the band has performed over 50 times in public from street busks to showcasing at The Encontro Street Band Festival and collaborating with other youth groups from Edinburgh, Manchester, France & Brazil.
It is completely free to take part.
To find out more about getting involved or booking the band for performances or workshops – contact the Project Manager Gaynor on sybyouthband@gmail.com or 07737782033.
